Audiences

A committed audience policy

La Gaîté Lyrique’s audience policy is developed through a strong-willed approach to setting up partnerships with local structures.

Through an active presence in the Paris and Ile-de-France areas, the audience relations team creates multiple links with different partners: educational institutions, higher education institutions, universities, non-profits, leisure centers, hospitals, social centers, social care institutions, remand centers, cultural venues…

Each year, 350 groups are welcomed and 250 workshops are organized.

The development of this partner network is driven by two overall objectives:

Developing and diversifying audiences
By encouraging actions destined to people distant from cultural institutions, thanks to partnerships with organizations from the social field: highly reduced admission, training of representatives, cultural activities focused on REP classified schools…

Raising awareness among every demographic of digital cultures
By creating social ties, mediation, meaning and togetherness around the programming: guided visits, regular workshops, professional training, resource center specialized in digital cultures, free and open to all.

Relying on a network of inspiring partners, la Gaîté Lyrique, an open and collaborative venue, shares digital cultures with each and everyone.
Since 2001, we’ve welcomed more than 1900 groups and more than 30000 people.

Regular workshops

Each week, la Gaîté Lyrique offers free workshops around video games (> lien), creative applications (>lien), and initiations to coding (>Lien). Kids, teens, families, senior citizens, all the participants are invited to make things themselves, to appropriate them and divert them…to be in a creative and joyful relationship with digital cultures.

Ateliers partagés festival

Each year, la Gaîté Lyrique invites you to discover presentations of cultural action projects and workshops held daily for every demographic. From music to transmedia via interactive design, animated pictures, coding, electronic tinkering and video games, participants explore, with artists at their side, the multiplicity of digital cultures. Come discover all these projects and meet the participants during Ateliers partagés.

Our partners
