Make your own ready-to-wear sound system
Summer's here, it's going to be hot, and you want to chill with your homies to the tunes of the latest cyber hit? No problem, Les Petits Débrouillards have invited themselves to La Gaîté to help you soup up your phone or walkman.
Whether you're passionate about sound or just a bit curious, come and spend an afternoon tinkering with us to create your own "Sound System," and leave with your very own "big sound" in your pocket. Invent the next stereo baseball cap, or finally turn the expression "musical chair" into reality! As many projects as you can come up with, you can do yourself in July at la Gaîté Lyrique.
For the youngest participants, this will be a great chance to become more familiar with amplitified music, and to have fun building the ultimate sound accessory of the summer of 2013.
As for the more experienced and inventive participants, you'll be able to let your imagination run wild for an afternoon, and redefine with each turn of the screw or each zap of the soldering iron the fundamentals of the sound system!
After delving into the characteristics of amplified sound, design and build a portable sound system that falls somewhere between an accessory and a piece of miniature urban furniture.
For all ages 11 and up.
