Discover the positive vibrations of the Art Orienté Objet collective.
As artists-in-residence at la Gaîté lyrique during the month of november 2013 as part of the Technology in the Day-to-day, the collective Art Orienté Objet (consisting of Marion Laval-Jeantet and Benoît Mangin) is embarking on the exploration of the world of "Good Vibes." Fascinated by the alleged beneficial effects of certain vibrational waves, the duo decided to produce a device able to intensify the effect on the viewer / listener. Using specific models such as the feline purr, ritual drums, the mouth bow of initiation ceremonies, they try to identify and amplify that which, inside both trance mechanisms and certain phenomenologies of everyday life, might resemble the "triggering" vibrations, which produce a relaxing effect or even "take one away." As part of Stefan Sagmeister's The Happy Show exhibition, they will create a space of "good vibes" in the sound room.
Installation in the sound room from december 11, 2013 to march 9, 2014 – as part of the Happy Show exhibition.
Launch: december 11, 2013, with a presentation of the project in the auditorium from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, with guests invited by the collective in attendance
This project was created as part of a residency at la Gaîté lyrique from november 4 to december 13, 2013.
